GiGi is spayed, up-to-date on all of her vaccines, and microchipped with a Home Again microchip that will include her registration in a national database. Her heartworm test and pre-anesthetic bloodwork are awesome. At four years old and a petite 52 pounds, she has a curious combination of characteristics, being shy, inquisitive and smart. She has no desire to be the center of attention but is content to watch the human and pooch members of her pack and follow along with them as they go about their business. That is a lovely quality in a multi-dog household.Gigi enjoys going for a leisurely stroll and prefers not to gallop toward cats or bunnies. Although her on-leash manners are pretty good, she would benefit from a Level 1 obedience class, as would most companion dogs.
Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously. Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well. |
