A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY CONVERSATION ABOUT ADOPTING FROM OUR ORGANIZATION. PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org AND READ ABOUT THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS (GOOD PHONE INTERVIEW, SECURELY FENCED YARD, FABULOUS REFERENCE FROM YOUR VETERINARIAN, HOME VISIT). I KNOW IS SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF STEPS. BUT FOR THE RIGHT FAMILY, IT IS SURPRISINGLY EASY. WE SCREEN CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS. THEY DESERVE IT! Reveille is a happy and busy 9 month old tri-color rough coated Collie. By the time you read this bio, he will have been neutered and has already had updated vaccines and bloodwork. He is with our Director and her pack and is content to run in and out the doggie door and raid every toy from all the toy baskets in the house. The first night was a surprise when Rev flew into Hope's bed and promptly plopped on the pillow and settled right in. But he took the hint and moved to the other side of the bed that is available to all the dogs who choose to cuddle. Collie puppies are the dearest creatures and Reveille is no exception. He loves men, women, children, babies, other dogs both large and small and especially ANYONE who will fuss over him. It is important that potential adopters have prior Collie experience. And an adult Collie to show him the "ways of the force" would be an added bonus. We will continue to work on obedience. He has learned sit, shake and down so far. But no one has the teach him "love." He already has that mastered.
