Dwight is a friendly and fun sable-headed white rough Collie that will be a year old in March.  He is heartworm negative and has great baseline blood work completed before his neuter on 1/28/20.  He loves men, women, children, other dogs and cats.  He has nice manners for a pup and learns new things easily.

Dwight came to us with his littermate Andy.  We are separating the boys because they will pay more attention to each other than to the other members of the family, whether two-legged or four-legged.  We will start taking adoption applications for Dwight immediately although we have some preliminary ones already.  A fabulous app will be one with a happy family with at least one other Collie to play with and a mom or dad with a lot of time and patience for a young dog.  Puppies will not thrive by themselves or in a crate all day.  That is not what this boy deserves.  We will keep looking until we find the perfect match for Dwight.

Thanks for thinking of a rescued pooch.  Each one comes with a ton of love to give.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
