Jake is a one-year-old neutered male Collie with a little dab of something extra. Perhaps he has a hint of border collie in his background that would account for his alert attitude and trainability. At 38#, he is light on his feet and moves quickly to explore the nooks and crannies of the yard. He runs like the wind and turns on a dime and would excel in agility and obedience. Considering how well-adjusted Jake is, it would be a shame for him to simply hang out in a backyard. When you see him smile, he lights up a whole room. Children delight him. Other dogs delight him. Commercials on TV make him smile. As his foster dad would say, "He is a peach of a pooch!" We have run baseline bloodwork to check out his general health and it is A-okay. He is heartworm negative, has all his vaccines and is microchipped. He is 99% housebroken, knows some basic commands and would fit into nearly any household. We want Jake to have the benefit of a younger family since he is just a puppy himself and wants to grow along withe human members of a pack. So, let's look for a couple of kids and a pooch or two and someone home enough of the time to do some training and throw a ball.
