Tucker (pka Junior) is an adolescent neutered male sable and white rough Collie. He had been an outdoor only dog in Nebraska but is now in Colorado to become an indoor dog with full rights and privileges. He is 15 months old and has spent all his life with other Collies and lots of school-age children. He has been in a loving foster home and his temporary mom and dad have discovered all kinds of fabulous things about him. But the one thing Tucker already knew about is love. He is a love sponge! Basic obedience is relatively easy to teach a Collie because they want to please you. Someone will need to be patient and nurturing and it would help if he had another canine buddy to show him the way. He LOVES to play so if you are primarily a couch potato, Tucker is not the dog for you. He is a big, sweet, cuddly, lovable bear of a dog that will crawl right into your heart. He loves men, women, children and other dogs. If a cat taunts him and runs, I imagine he would give chase. But if they wanted a snuggle, Tucker would be good with that. We require a completed application first which you will find on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org. Please don't apply unless you have first read Tucker's bio and understand what it is that will make a perfect match for him. If you sound like a good potential match for Tucker, Hope will call you for a first conversation and then put you in touch with his foster family. Thanks for thinking about a dog that needs you.
