Jordan is a smooth sable and white collie boy who is a sweetheart.
Meet Our Mister Jordan is moving forward with the next stage of his life. When he lived on the west coast and then on the east coast, he was a busy boy. He took obedience classes and learned to pull a cart. He went for long walks with his beloved "mom"and hiked to some awesome places as time allowed. He had what we humans like to think of as a big life.
But when his owner sustained a closed head injury a couple of years ago, most of that came to a halt. Jordan needs to have more activity and fun than his owner could provide for him. So she put his needs ahead of her own and asked us to find him a "forever home." Jordan has slipped into a foster home with two other Collie siblings without missing a beat. But he still wants his very own home where he is the center of everything. He needs to lose 15# or so to be the very best 8-year-old Jordan he can be. Senior dogs need to remain svelte to minimize the load on their joints. (I could use a little of that myself now in my 60's!) Only the best humans need apply. As someone very wise once said, "Every dog deserves a home but not every home deserves a dog."
Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Policies & Guidelines and, if we sound like the right group for you, proceed to the online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously. Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
