Collie (medium coat) : : Male : : Baby : : Medium
THE FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION IS A COMPLETED APPLICATION WHICH YOU WILL FIND ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. THE MORE INFORMATION YOU CAN SHARE WITH US, THE BETTER WE CAN HELP GUIDE YOU TO A PERFECT MATCH FOR YOUR FAMILY. The Collie Mama is named Jazz and therefore her four pups have been named for some of the jazz greats. Basie (as in Count Basie) is almost 8 weeks old and is the largest of the pups. He is what his foster mom calls her "gentle giant." He loves to be cuddled in his mom's arms like a baby, mellow and relaxed, until it is time to play. And then off like a shot for the next adventure. He is athletic and adventurous, playful and curious. Doesn't he sound like the perfect combination of characteristics for your next best friend? The minimum adoption donation of $450 to Rocky Mountain Collie and Sheltie Rescue only covers about half of the expenses of the puppies vet care. Three sets of puppy vaccines including rabies at 26 weeks. A spay or neuter and a Home Again microchip. These are lucky little tykes. Their futures will be secure. Please read the requirements for adoption on our website before you submit an application. Folks with prior Collie experience will be given a preference. A fenced yard is required not optional. We will call your veterinarian for a reference and either do a home site inspection if possible or accept digital photos if necessary. We hope you will not be offended by our process but it is our moral obligation to find the best possible homes for these puppies and we take our job very seriously. Doggies first!!
