Daisy met a lovely family and we hoped it would be a great fit for her.  But one of the dogs was too dominant for her.  Daisy is a sweet and gentle soul and LOVES to play with a like-minded and similarly sized canine companion.  If you need a new best friend, please consider our DAISY DOG!

THE FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION IS A COMPLETED APPLICATION WHICH YOU WILL FIND ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org.  THE MORE INFORMATION YOU SHARE WITH US, THE BETTER WE CAN HELP GUIDE YOU TO A PERFECT MATCH FOR YOUR FAMILY.

Have you ever heard of something called "the zoomies"?  Daisy has discovered the zoomies and is looking for a forever family to share her discovery with.  She runs around and around the backyard with her puppies and her Collie housemate, a huge smile on her face.

Daisy is a 2-year-old smooth tri-color Collie that is sweet, smart and full of a remarkable zest for life.  She is housebroken and walks well on a leash.  We had begun dog training classes when we discovered she was pregnant.  Now that her puppies are weaned and she has fulfilled her motherly obligations, she is ready to be her own dog.

Daisy loves to be outside and we've started walking her again now that her puppies have had their first round of shots.  But mostly, like all Collies, she wants to be with her humans.  One member of her household works from home and Daisy is always lying close by. That is unless she is protecting the household from the mail carrier and the FedEx deliveries.  But that is all bark and no bite!

Please consider giving this special girl a well-deserved forever home and she will reward you 1,000 times over with loyalty, love and companionship.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
