A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION. YOU WILL FIND THE ONLINE APP ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org. WITHOUT ALL THAT CRUCIAL INFORMATION, WE CAN'T HAVE A DECENT CONVERSATION ABOUT A POTENTIAL ADOPTION. PLEASE READ ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION AND THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION. A SECURELY FENCED YARD, A FABULOUS REFERENCE FROM YOUR VETERINARIAN, A HOME VISIT OR DIGITAL PHOTOS AND A GREAT PHONE INTERVIEW WITH OUR DIRECTOR. Stormy is a spayed female tri-colored rough Collie. She is 7 1/2 years old and has never met a stranger. Men, women, gentle children, other dogs and cats are all her friends. Her owner described her as gentle and sensitive, very laid-back and an all around "good girl." She suffered a broken leg in 2020 and it was surgically repaired and later had the hardware removed. She does favor that leg a bit and is on an arthritis supplement that seems to help a good deal. (Missing Link is one of our favorites.) Stormy has lived with many Collie companions in her lifetime and is companionable with them but would not mind being an only beloved dog. She wants what all dogs want....love and consistency, good food, gentle hands and a soft dog bed at the end of the day near mom and dad. Let's get this miracle started for Stormy. Stormy is UTD on vaccines and will have the rest of her vet care completed when she arrives at Doggie Central. Heartworm test, blood chemistries and CBC, all in preparation for a dental which I imagine she will need. Previous Collie experience is a must and we love to see previous adopters names in the inbox of applications. Let's show Stormy how much we value her life.
