Tucker has been a much beloved lap dog with a single woman whose health no longer permits her to care for her darling dog.  He is a sweet fellow with a friendly attitude toward all of God's creatures.  Weighing in at 13.6#, Tucker is used to the privileges that all small dogs deserve.  He expects to be carried and cuddled and tucked into bed with his favorite humans.  He eats and drinks well and all his bodily functions are just fine.  No peeing or pooping in the house, he is much too dignified for that.  But he does have a sense of humor too.

Tuck likes toys and mostly carries them around for his own amusement.  But he is quite a chewer and lightweight plastic toys are ripped to shreds and that could be dangerous for him.  His health is excellent and his mom took him to Hilltop Pet Clinic in Pueblo West, CO who have all his records.  We will provide copies of all his records as well as his toys and dogbed, etc.

Preference will be given to folks that have loved the Toy Fox Terrier breed before and who have some small dogs Tucker can play with.  And Tucker is too small to hang out with toddlers and very young children who could overwhelm him.  Please read his whole bio before applying to make Tucker a part of your lives, forever.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
