Tucker is bit of a character!  His owners realized that this young and very active pooch was too much for them and he came to RMCSR.  He is just over a year old, healthy and companionable with his immediate family.  He has chosen his foster dad Jeff to be his primary person and the two other Shelties in the family are 'okie doke' with him.  But other dogs do not deserve to be near him and he tells them in strong terms.  We would recommend working with a behaviorist (Misha May Foundation is a great source for excellent training of all kinds) because this little fellow is so worth the trouble.

Tuck has learned to jingle bells on the back door when he needs to go potty or he just follows his Sheltie brother and sister out to the yard. He is playful and cuddly with folks he knows well

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
