Update for Terrific Ty: Ty has lost over 30 pounds!!! Woo-too-too! High fives, ahem, paws, all around! But Ty still has a ways to go - he needs to lose another 30 lbs. And like us humans, the last pounds to lose are the hardest. Ty goes on lots of walks, and is getting loads of love from his foster family and especially his foster Collie-brother Jack, who was once overweight himself. (Jack wasn't nearly as obese as Ty, however.)

So Ty remains on hold. "More diet and exercise?" he asks. Yes, Ty, yes. We'd love it if you'd sponsor him. His foster mom says he's always getting better  - and tells him that every day is easier than the last, and that he's on his way to a great new life! Please consider sponsoring Ty, our Big Ty Guy! And please note that Ty serves as an example of how much over-feeding your dog can impact his health, and how difficult it is to get your dog to shed the weight.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
