Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.
Lady Tilly is tri-colored Sheltie at 38#. She was found as a stray in Denver and did her time at a municipal shelter. We don’t know her history, but we do know she
was well loved and over-fed. Tilly lacked good muscle tone initially so her foster parents started with short walks (and lots of stairs). She now can take a 45-minute walk with ease. Tilly is housebroken, She also has learned how to use the doggie door like a champ. Tilly loves to play. She will chase a ball and tease her playmate by not giving it back. She also loves to play with soft stuffed toys. One of her favorite games is to run back and forth behind the sofa while her foster mom runs in the other direction, trying to catch her.
Tilly is a great traveler! She does not get anxious about riding in the car or staying in a hotel. She was a perfect angel when her foster parents took her for a weekend trip from Parker to Canon City where she attended the annual RMCSR picnic and got to walk across the Royal Gorge Bridge. Perhaps her forever family would buy an RV and show her the country.. Other than being a bit of a
chunky monkey, Tilly is in excellent health. She just had her teeth cleaned and her coat is lovely.
Tilly is a little shadow. She follows her humans around when they are home and is obviously “a people person.” An 11-year-old neighbor walks Tilly regularly with no trouble. But Tilly will be placed with an adult-only household. Young children are overwhelming for her. So Tilly’s ideal placement would be with a middle-aged to
senior couple with lots of time for her and all the love she deserves. The Lady Tilley would be shouting YES!
