Little Mac is another of the unwanted and abandoned surplus dogs that are found in so many places in this country.  Mac was brought to a spay and neuter clinic in Wichita, Kansas along with the rest of his litter in late March of this year.  They were all malnourished and dehydrated and had limited opportunities where they were.  If you squint, Little Mac looks Collie-ish.  At least we think so.  He is neutered male, 7-month-old lap dog.

Mac had latched onto the Collies in his foster home and patterned his behavior after them.  If they went out to go potty, Mac did the same.  If the Collies cuddled with the cats, Little Mac assumed that all good dogs did the same.  He is still a little shy with humans.  It will take some time for him to feel super safe with his new people when he is adopted.  Another gentle pet in the household would certainly help with his transition.  He loves his crate and his blankie and his foster mom.  Any potential adopters must have a sense of humor and lots of time to share with a goofy little puppy that will bond like glue to his forever family.

Mac's vaccines are UTD and his bloodwork is good.  He is already neutered and microchipped.  He will come with all his worldly belongings, but only to the right family that will be his until the end of time.  We need a completed application first which you will find on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org.  Please read about the requirements for adoption and if your life is not ready for a full-time commitment, please don't apply.  We want this opportunity to be joyous all the way around!
