A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY ADOPTION.  YOU WILL FIND IT ON OUR WEBSITE AT www.colliesheltierescue.org.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WITHOUT THIS PIECE, WE CAN'T EVEN HAVE A CONVERSATION ABOUT ANY OF OUR POOCHES.  FOLKS WITH SHELTIE EXPERIENCE AND ANOTHER YOUNG AND FUN COMANION DOG WILL BE GIVEN SPECIAL CONSIDERATION.

The littermate to little Colleen is Duncan.  He is an 11-week-old purebred Sheltie puppy.  We have not had Sheltie puppies in a long time. So that makes him extremely special to us.  Duncan is a lover.  When you pick him up, he looks right into your eyes (and directly into your heart).  Then he tucks his face into your neck for a nuzzle.  He like men, women, other dogs and probably nice children (but we will introduce kids individually).

Duncan has had his first puppy vaccine, a distemper/parvo combo with lepto.  And he has been wormed once with strongid.  Duncan is microchipped with a Home Again chip and his lifetime database entry is included in his adoption.  We will continue to pay for his care with vaccines and a neuter when he is old enough.

Only the most enlightened humans need apply.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
