Kenzie is a 6-year-old spayed female, tri-colored Sheltie.  She is a gentle companion who enjoys the company of another similarly sized dog (35#), perhaps another Sheltie, to buddy up with.  Kenzie's foster parents have a lot of good things to say about her.  "Kenzie knows sit, down, come and is learning wait and stay.  She responds well to affection and seems to prefer sleeping on the floor on Mom's side of the bed."  Although her health is excellent, like many Shelties, her dental health was not particularly good and she lost 23 of her 42 teeth.  But the remaining teeth and clean and polished.  And she is nicely groomed and ready to have a real life.  Hurray!

From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process.
