'Oh Danny Boy' is a senior neutered male sable and white Sheltie.  His past may not have been so fabulous.  But we know that his future will be.

Danny has recovered well after a dental which involved the removal of 17 teeth and a neuter with scrotal ablation because of testicular cancer.  The pathology report was good.  But this poor little guy has been through a lot and deserves to have a great rest of his life.

Danny is drawn toward women but has accepted his foster dad too.  He enjoys spending time with another senior Sheltie but is more engaged with his human.  His foster mom is the center of his little Sheltie universe.  But if we adopt all of our foster dogs, we can't follow our passion to foster again and again.  There must be a gentle and kind Sheltie mom just waiting for little Danny.  BTW, if you sing "Oh Danny Boy" to him, his face lights up.  It is a lovely sight to see.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
