A completed application is our first step toward any adoption. You will find it on our website at www.colliesheltierescue.org. Without that important step, it is impossible to have a meaningful conversation. Beatrice (named for a city in Nebraska, her home state) is a sweet and friendly 10 week old rough Collie puppy. She is fresh and clean from her "first-ever" bath today. This picture is of her cuddling with her favorite groomer, Liz. She walked nicely on a leash in the sunshine. (Also a first!) She has known quite a few Collies and loved them all. Little Bea played with grandchildren on the breeder's farm. She deserves to have a fabulous life and one committed family for all of it. EVERYONE wants a Collie puppy! But not everyone has a life that is well-designed to give a young pup everything they need. A securely fenced yard is a must. Folks need to be home with their young dog to guide her through puppyhood. Long hours in a kennel daily is no fun for a puppy. Please understand that we will make the best match possible for Beatrice. Doggies first! Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously. We will look forward to hearing from you as well. |
