POMERANIANS!!! Two little Poms with no place to go.... that sounds like the beginning of a fairy tale. But, alas, it is not so. Grizzly (8#) and Precious (12#) are 7-year-old littermates, spayed and neutered of course, who were left behind when their "mom" died and no family member was prepared to watch over them. They are full of character and have managed to charm some humans who have never spent much time around tiny dogs. The kids are heartworm negative and have good general bloodwork. They could certainly use a better diet than they have been fed and we are transitioning both dogs to a grain-free kibble with a tab of something tasty and some hot water. They did beautifully at their intake exam and charmed a new veterinarian who could not stop cuddling them. Have you ever met dogs who are social butterflies? Griz and Precious are in that category. These dogs are extremely bonded and will only be placed together in a forever home. We need folks with Pomeranian expertise and will only consider those people for placement. Precious and Grizzly come with all of their belongings and lots of love. Please read about us at www.colliesheltierescue.org and complete the online application. Inquiries are not the same thing. We only consider folks with a completed application. Thanks for understanding that rescue takes a huge amount of effort and we want to spend the time with people who are serious about adopting dogs for their entire lives.
