Calypso is a four-year-old spayed female sable-and-white rough Collie that has traveled to Colorado from Missouri, seeking a fabulous family to love her forever. She is adorable and sweet natured with all humans. Cali has a sense of fun and displays it by being wiggly and cuddly and floppy, all at the same time. Her previous family cooked her organic turkey and quinoa and eggshells for calcium and she has been a bit disappointed in my kitchen skills. But she is now eating a combination of grain free canned turkey and potato with Taste of the Wild grain free wetlands formula. Cali needs to be the only dog in the family. She guards her "resources." Resources not only apply to toys and treats and her dog bowl but also to humans. Although this is quite unusual for a Collie, it is true for her. We have a fabulous trainer that is helping us understand how to work with Cali and hopefully reduce her discomfort at sharing. But she may need to be the only dog for her lifetime. So let's start with this as a requirement. We will be looking for a home for Calypso with lots of prior dog experience with the herding breeds. She is smart and will need to have lots of mental stimulation as well as running and playing to blow off the steam of a young and very healthy dog. So if you are a couch potato, please don't even send an application. We don't like to disappoint humans, but with us it is......doggies first! **************************************
