Sweet, intelligent, shy, active,
Sweet little Lady (aka: Darcy) is a 23 pound, 18 month old bundle of puppy energy and playfulness. Though at times she can be skittish, she LIVES to cuddle... she is quite the cuddle bug. Slightly over weight, she will be at her optimal weight when she has lost a mere 2 to 3 pounds. Her activity level will definitely help her, as she loves to run, (especially in the cool morning air), and likes to go for walks, (though her leash etiquette has yet to be refined). As she is only responsive to a few minor commands she will also need some obedience training. Fortunately she is a very intelligent puppy, and with patience, persistence and perseverance she'll quickly learn to master everything she is being asked to do. Lady is micro chipped, has all required vaccinations and her blood work is normal. She is heartworm negative and will begin her monthly Interceptor dosage on June 1st. With us for just 1 week she has had a couple mishaps in the house, but she is learning, from our pack, what is expected of her each time we take them outdoors. I believe she is house trained, but new evnvironments are always a challenge for foster dogs. She fits in very well with them and they with her. Cannot say how she is with cats however. Darcy gets nervous with kids nearby. My grandsons (ages 8, 10, and 12 years old), are quite active ... and very noisy. Unfortunately, not much fun for her. She simply is not accustomed to the high activity and noise and will likely leave area in search of calmer climes.
